UNLOCK THE CITY! WORKSHOP “Politecnico as a common territory”

As part of UNLOCK THE CITY! european initiative, Politecnico di Milano DAStU is hosting the artist Bogdan Zamfir in a workshop that combines artistic devices and spatial exploration.
The workshop “Politecnico as a common territory” explores the Politecnico di Milano campus through theatrical tools and storytelling approaches, guided by theater and film actor, author and director Bogdan Zamfir.
Students are ask to engage in an immersive experience analyzing their university environment as a shared territory, to examine concepts of territory, community, and the relationship between structures and imagination. The objective is to experiment with urban exploration using “alternative” tools to traditional methods, connecting bodies and spaces through affective memory exercises and collective reflection.
Participants will investigate how university’s infrastructure can generates common emotions and stories, bridging the gap between regulatory frameworks and creative imagination.
The workshop is organized in collaboration with Teatro delle Biglie, a cultural association created and led by Politecnico students, that promotes theatrical activities within and outside the Politecnico di Milano context.
UNLOCK THE CITY! is coordinated by Piccolo Teatro di Milano-Teatro d’Europa in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano DAStU, five international partners: Toneelhuis (BE) | Teatrul Tineretului (RO) | Teatre Lliure (ES) | Østfold University College & Norwegian Theater Academy (NO) | The Academy of Performing Arts AMU (CZ).
