The University's daycare service is part of an integrated policy to protect and promote children's rights and support the work-life balance of the University's staff and students.

There are two polytechnic kindergartens and they accommodate boys and girls aged from 3 months (at the time of admission to the nursery) to 36 months (at the end of the school year in which the right to nursery admission arises):

• Leonardo Nursery School in Via Valvassori Peroni 17, Milan, with a capacity of 30 boys and girls (from the 2025 - 2026 educational year)
• Micronido Bovisa" in Via Candiani n. 72 Milan with a capacity of 10 boys and girls

It is possible to visit the nurseries during open days (usually organised in February/March each year) or by appointment by contacting the structures:

Access to the university/affiliated nurseries is subject to participation in a public call for applications issued in February/March each year.

The nurseries are open also to external subjects, with priority given to applications from Politecnico staff and students. For students, temporary research fellows and PhD students, the nursery care is free, as it is fully covered by the 'POP' Plan in order to facilitate participation in study and research activities.

The Magic Barn follows a multilingual Montessori teaching method, which includes various activities and workshops in foreign languages, and offers dedicated spaces for coworking.
A discount of 10% on the registration fee is provided for university staff. To access the discount and to have more information about the current rates for 2024 – 2025 e.y, it will be sufficient to send the request to the facility using the institutional email with domain @mail.polimi.it or @ polimi.it and attaching a scan of the identification card.
The discount is available for PTA, PD, researchers, PhDs, research fellows and students.

Scuola Materna Elementare Paritaria Metodo Montessori

Politecnico staff and students will be able to apply for a 20% discount on the annual preschool registration and tuition fee, concerning their kindergarten, for the year 2024-25.
