Investing in well-being at 360°
Every day, we are committed to promoting the psychophysical well-being of our people, and we are convinced that a healthy and harmonious work environment is essential for their development and satisfaction. To achieve this goal, we have launched permanent projects designed to promote a positive and stimulating climate: periodic surveys of organizational well-being, listening and dialogue desks, recreational and cultural activities, state-of-the-art sports infrastructures, and many other actions designed to enrich the daily lives of our employees.
Every step we take is geared towards building an environment where every member of the community can express their potential in a context that encourages professional growth, well-being at 360°, and authentic self-fulfillment
With the aim of improving campus life and individual well-being, we encourage our people to practice physical activity, investing in sports centers, gyms and playgrounds where they can carry out several activities and courses at discounted rates. In 2021 we inaugurated the Giuriati Sports center which, with an area of 36,000 square meters and 12 practicable disciplines, is the ideal place to take a break from work. There is also no shortage of tournaments and sports competitions, such as the now famous PoliMiRun, which every year brings together workers, students and citizens in a 10 km race.

As Politecnico di Milano, we aspire to remain a welcoming workplace, where everyone can feel respected and valued in their uniqueness. To this end, since 2015 we have been conducting biennial climate and organizational well-being surveys, with the aim of detecting the perceptions shared by the University's permanent staff with respect to various aspects of work and taking improvement actions based on the data collected.

We are committed to promoting a culture and an environment in which people can feel free to express their identity: to do this, we put in place specific actions aimed at deconstructing stereotypes and combating all forms of discrimination in the areas of gender equality, multiculturalism, disability, LGBTQI+ and wellbeing. Among the initiatives promoted are training courses dedicated to Inclusive knowledge, the activation of Alias careers, sponsorship of Pride Milano and participation in initiatives for the placement of people with disabilities and belonging to protected categories.

We offer our people psychological support tools to deal with particularly difficult or delicate moments in their lives at the University, such as the Listening Desk, which provides a consultancy service on relational and organizational issues to those who find themselves in a situation of discomfort in their work environment, or the Talete project, which includes interviews dedicated to workers approaching the exit from the world of work to support the final phase of their career. Psychological support programs are also accessible to staff thanks to the Polimi People Care supplementary assistance plan.
We create opportunities for our people to exchange and share opinions and passions, including recreational, cultural and educational events that encourage networking and socialization among employees: fully living the Campus experience means giving space and sharing interests, ideas and knowledge with colleagues, even outside working hours.
