Descrizione dell'iniziativa
The conceptual elements of special relativity and the need to overcome pre-Einsteinian physics are introduced. After introducing Lorentz transformations, and highlighting the differences with respect to Galilean transformations, the main consequences are discussed: length contraction, time dilation and experimental verifications. Relativistic dynamics is then formulated, discussing its consequences on the motion of the planets. During the lessons, some exercises will be carried out to complete the theory.
